Even people who see 20/20 can have problems with their vision.

Vision & Learning Evaluation

At least 10% of children have difficulty maintaining clear, comfortable, single vision.  The eyes of other children do not shift across the page with efficient rhythm.  Still other children struggle understanding and remembering information they see.  The majority of learning is presented visually. Undiagnosed vision problems silently affect learning, since children do not know how they should be seeing. Children do not alert parents that they are seeing the text move, double or that just looking is uncomfortable.

Patients referred by optometrists, therapists or reading teachers for vision therapy typically require this evaluation. Typically 2-3 hours of testing is conducted over 2 office visits. Visual skills are thoroughly evaluated to determine if a visual weakness may be compounding difficulty learning or affecting other areas of development.
