Vision Problems in Adults
Can result from a weakening ability to compensate for longstanding childhood vision problems.
Develop with increased time spent on ‘screens’ with the shift to working from home.
Result from concussion, stroke, or other brain injury.
Develop as a complication from other ocular surgery or systemic health problems (thyroid, MS, or diabetes)
Adult Vision Therapy
Our adult patients adapt for their visual problems, but this often comes at a great expense.
Getting through the work day can feel like running a marathon.
Driving or buying groceries can cause dizziness, carsickness, and unease.
Vision therapy is effective for adults when they are motivated to see a different way.

"My treatment plan was clearly not one-size-fits-all and evolved as the plan progressed. I had a great overall experience at Dublin Vision Development and had positive results. I would without hesitation recommend vision therapy."

"Through vision therapy Dr. Cara helped me challenge my brain to develop better vision. I now can read at length without fatigue, headache, nor seeing double lines of print. Having observed my children experience similar changes after completing VT, I was eager to try. I am amazed at the resiliency of my brain as it is still developing vision coordination. I now have a greater view of our beautiful world."

"I came to Dr. Cara's practice with difficulties focusing my eyes. My eyesight was good, but something was off - my eyes weren't coordinating, and too much visual stimulation was stressful. I had to stop driving on the freeway altogether. Debilitating! With Dr. Cara's expert guidance and a couple months of home practice, we've retrained my eyes, strengthened my vision, and I've resumed driving...all while becoming fascinated with the ability to retrain the eye/brain connection."

“I’m very glad I did vision therapy. My eyes are nothing like they were before, only some tiredness. I wish I had a doctor tell me about this problem before.”

"I have a much better understanding of what my eyes were doing, and now have the knowledge/tools to help exercise them a bit so they work better together. I am experiencing less headaches and overall struggles with working at the computer. I am not noticing the 'doubling' or 'shadowing' as much as I did before, and I'm better able to combat it when it does happen now. Thank you for providing me with these tools!!"
