Children’s Vision Care and

Vision Therapy for All Ages

We help your child see their BEST so they can be their BEST!

  • You want the best for your children

  • Gain peace of mind knowing nothing visual is in their way

  • The price of undetected vision problems is too high

Even students with 20/20 eyesight can be held back by vision problems

Child & Teen Vision Care

Children are unaware of how they should be seeing, therefore they don’t complain to parents. All children should have an eye examination before their 1st birthday, during preschool and every 1-2 years when school-age. Early detection of vision problems keeps development and learning on track.

Worsening Distance Vision

40% of the world’s population is nearsighted (myopic) and the numbers continue to rise. This condition results in trouble seeing far away and increases the lifelong risk of eye disease. Promising research shows that several treatments may slow the worsening of nearsightedness in children and teens.

Vision and Learning

70% of school lessons are learned through looking, recognizing and remembering visual information. Yet, 1 in 4 children have a vision problem that makes it difficult for them to see their lessons clearly, without discomfort and understand what they have learned. Screenings miss many vision problems.

Vision Therapy

Our eye muscles are some of the strongest muscles in our entire body. Yet glitches in how the brain controls the eyes are quite common. Through optometric vision therapy patients learn to regain control of their vision.

Adult Vision Rehabilitation

Dr. Cara enjoys working with adults who experience vision problems that impact their ability to work comfortably, drive with confidence, or cause double vision.

Dr. Cara is here for you

The focus of Dublin Vision Development is on our little patients. We strive to ensure vision leads the way to their success. Less than 1% of optometrists achieve the level of training of Dr. Cara. The detail of vision testing provided for infants through teenagers is increased as a result of her experience. The eye examination extends beyond the standard check for glasses and investigates the evolving eye skills required for growing children.

Dublin Vision Development aims to prevent and treat vision problems before future development and learning are impacted. Non-surgical treatment programs are utilized for vision problems that hinder learning, or impact work and sports performance. Dr. Cara has offered treatment for children with quickly changing vision due to nearsightedness since 2014.
